Neighbourhood Plan &
Plan:MK

Following the referendum held on the Neighbourhood Plan on the 20th July 2023, Milton Keynes City Council completed a report which went to the delegated decision meeting on the 22 August 2023 requesting that the full council make the Neighbourhood Plan formally. It was agreed to take the neighbourhood plan to the 13 September 2023 full council meeting where it was 'formally made'.

Having completed the successful referendum, delegated decision and full council, the Neighbourhood Plan is now in force as part of the statutory development plan for the parish area of Haversham-cum-Little Linford. It now forms part of the Local Development Framework alongside the Local Development Plan - Plan:MK

September 2023

Plan:MK

As the Local Planning Authority (LPA), Milton Keynes City Council is obliged to maintain a Local Plan that sets out policies related to planning for the entire borough.  This sits alongside both the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) produced by central government as well as the individual neighbourhood plans like the one produced by Haversham-cum-Little Linford Parish Council.  Together these documents form the basis on which all planning decisions are made.

The currently local plan for MK was adopted in March2019, but is currently being replaced by the MK City Plan 2050 which post the recent Regulation 18 consultation is now also a material consideration in deciding planning applications.
