Richard is semi-retired having worked for over 35 years as a Management and Technology Consultant for Financial Services clients across the UK, Europe, South Africa and the USA. He now works part time as an independent advisor to a small number of scale-up and established businesses and joined Haversham-cum-Little Linford Parish Council in May 2023.

Outside of work and volunteering, Richard enjoys cooking and all things food and drink related. He also brews his own beer! He is a fan of many sports but especially Formula 1 and Rugby Union. However, his season ticket remains firmly with Harlequins given where he lived previously, although he is known to go along to Northants to cheer on the Quins most seasons!

I have lived in Haversham since 1994 and over that time have been involved in most of the communities’ activities, Fete, Mayday, Fireworks, concerts etc. I have 2 grown up children who have now left the village and 1 granddaughter who is non-verbal and has been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition (Dyrk1a syndrome).

I am semi-retired but keep busy gardening for some local residents & invigilating at the Radcliffe school when required. I like playing badminton and am a member of a pub quiz team.

Carol Langham

I have lived in Haversham since January 1985, and was nine years in Newport Pagnell prior to that. While my children were growing up I was involved in village activities such as the local fete, social centre (I was on the committee for a time), the Road Safety Action Group, the village show – and both children attended the youth club. For the last 18 years I have been employed as an Editor for an in-house publication, the last three years for four days a week rather than full time. I enjoy walking with my dog on the footpaths around Haversham and the surrounding area, and feel incredibly lucky to live in such superb countryside. I have been a Parish Councillor since August 2016.

Responsibilities: Community Speedwatch, Recreation Ground Equipment Checks, Public Rights of Way and Parish Magazine Editor.

Jessica’s Haversham connections go back many years: her parents are both from the village, she grew up visiting her grandparents here, and she attended Sunday school at St Mary’s.

Jess started out as a local newspaper reporter in Milton Keynes before getting a job with one of the city’s MPs. She has worked in various parts of government as a speechwriter, including 10 Downing Street. She now runs her own business.

Jess enjoys reading, running, playing the guitar and chasing her children around MK’s many fantastic parks.

Responsibilities: New Website Working Group, Allotments and Community Safety including  Neighbourhood Watch.

Steve Parsons

Originally hailing from Scotland, I've lived in and around Milton Keynes for over 40 years moving to Haversham in 2010. After years in the private sector, most of my recent career has been within Social housing, working with families, managing tenancies and communities. I'm a keen swimmer, a qualified instructor and love animals, the outdoors and spending time with my family. I'm passionate about improving things within our community for the people who live here and I'm grateful to have an opportunity to help.
