We find ourselves at a wonderfully exciting time in this project. Having been successful at raising funds of £100,000 through donations and grants over the past 18 months, we are now in a position where we can start planning.

 

We have invited experienced playground suppliers to bid for the work and the deadline for tenders is at the end of January. We have asked them to consider the playground holistically and the ages it caters towards and the modes of play it captures. We would like there to be a stronger sense of flow and community about the new play area and so we are handing the design over to the experts!

 

Some pieces of equipment will definitely be going - both sets of swings, the old playframe and see-saw, however much more exciting equipment will replace it - and more!

 

Our aim is to have the regeneration of the playground completed before the schools break up for summer in 2025.
