A presentation was made to MKCC councillors setting out the councils future planning up to 2050, a copy of the slides can be seen below.
There now follows a public consultation until October 2024 in order for you to have your say.
Interesting to see the council planning all the way out to 2050, though I do wonder how much of this will actually survive contact with reality. I went to one of the earlier consultations and came away feeling like the feedback loop between residents and planners is still pretty weak. Off topic, but I've been using a twitch animated emote resizer for some streaming graphics lately, and it's honestly made me appreciate how rare it is when a process actually listens to its users.
The MK City Plan 2050 looks really forward-thinking, and it's great they're asking for public input. By the way, I was checking meeting times for the consultation, and I found a handy tool to convert pst to est so I don't miss any sessions. Hope everyone gets involved!
The 3.43 MB PDF slides for the MK City Plan 2050 caught my eye-pretty detailed roadmap for 2050. I like that the public consultation runs until October 2024, so we've got time to weigh in.
