The Parish Council has been asked by MKCC to share with residents:

MKCC are inviting all interested residents to join a new resident focus group dedicated to discussing the proposal for a new state-of-the-art centre at Old Wolverton. This is your opportunity to voice your opinions, ask questions, and contribute to the decision-making process regarding this important initiative.

By joining the focus group, residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the proposals, how the centre will operate, understand what impact it will have on the wider city, and can share the feedback with fellow residents. Having input future from the site users will help ensure that the new facility meets the needs of all our residents and aligns with our shared vision for a more sustainable future.

All perspectives are valuable, and we want to hear from residents across the north of the city. We will be setting up another group within the south of the city, shortly too.

Working together, we can create a facility that meets the needs of a growing area whilst meeting our environmental targets.

Any interested residents who would like to join the focus group should email yourwaste@milton-keynes.gov.uk  by Friday 4 July 2025. We may have to extend the deadline if we do not have much interest by this time. If we have more than enough willing participants, we may need to select on a first come , first served basis .

The first focus group meeting will be held at the Town Hall, Creed Street, Wolverton in mid-July and more details will be sent before then.

To join the focus group, you must be:

•             Over 18

•             A resident of Milton Keynes

•             Not currently an elected ward, parish or town councillor (there are other channels for these groups)

•             Available to attend a meeting once a month.

•             Willing to share any updates and feedback.
